After 18 years
of professional selling, working with Sheldon was just what I needed; he took me to the next level.  In the short time that I worked with him, he helped me recognize the need to change my sales approach and with it came great results:  $35,000 of new business in three months to be precise. No longer do customers see me as a salesman, but as someone who can bring value to their business - and they are willing to pay extra for it. Thanks Sheldon.

Sheldon Snodgrass
is a premier sales person and a superlative teacher. He understands the aversion many business owners have to selling and provides both comfort and well-placed tips to help them over the cusp of whatever is blocking them. His sales training provides well-needed information and advice for an underserved sector in the business community. Plus, Sheldon generously put self-interest aside to assist both the Hidden Tech organization and fellow virtual companies.”
Amy Zuckerman, Founder, Hidden Tech. www.a-zinternational.com

Working with Sheldon
has been fantastic. He has the rare capacity to integrate encouragement and his contagious enthusiasm with the nitty-gritty, nuts and bolts of getting a business or practice off the ground. In a short period of time he had me off and running. I feel well supported and recommend him highly.”
Carol Hetrick, Master Trainer, Brain Gym. www.http://braingym.org

Sheldon's ability
to understand his clients' situation, help them clarify their goals, lead them in developing a plan of action and then assisting in the implementation of that plan is unsurpassed.  Sheldon's work with me has had a reinvigorating effect that's translated into both renewed sales success and a rekindling of my love for my work. Sheldon is an absolute pleasure to work with; his enthusiasm and energy is contagious.  He loves what he does - and he has no greater joy than in seeing the tangible product of his work as exemplified by his clients' successes. I now have a systematic, effective and sustainable prospecting methodology that is achieving both our primary - as well as many secondary - sales and marketing goals.  Thank you Steady Sales!"
Lou Davis, VP Sales & Marketing, Market Street Research. www.marketstreetresearch.com.

Through Sheldon's
lively and engaging trainings, my staff and I developed effective sales scripts that both increased our closing rate, and gave us a repeatable system to consistently generate results.  Because weight loss is so personal and emotional, we didn't want to use hard sales formulas.  With Sheldon's help, we developed flexible scripted lines...more

Sales Consulting

Overview
Sales Consulting

What is it?
As a sales consultant my job is to help you discover and implement marketing and sales solutions that will move your business forward; and, more importantly, to help you and your team discover better ways to implementing the solutions and stay accountable.

How does it work?
Consulting with me is simple.  After a free 1-hour intake to explore the fit between what you need and what I do, we will have enough information to make a go/no-go decision.  If we decide to proceed together we sign a letter of agreement then get right to work.

What do you get?  You get custom tailored solutions to your specific problems.  Here are some examples of typical consulting projects I have completed for clients.

The Executive Conversation.
This service includes three, two-hour private sessions to discuss ANY facet of your business that is impeding your success, however you define it.  I'll bring an outsider's expert perspective to help you understand what may be missing or getting in your way, why, and what to do about it. My promise is to deliver, at the end of this engagement, a ninety-day road map that outlines specific action items to get and keep your business on track. If additional services are desired, fix price services and deliverable products will be offered for your consideration.  These may include:

Sales and Marketing Plans.  This is often where people get bogged down because they anticipate a cumbersome process, but it needn’t be.  Sales planning will help you:

•  Establish S.M.A.R.T. goals (Specific, Measurable, Acceptable, Realistic, Timely).
•  Articulate an action plan to work toward your goals, week by week.
•  Hone a clear strategy, secure the right resources, and execute.

Sales and Marketing Diagnostics.  These very complete reports are like a home inspection or physical exam – a top to bottom review of everything you do to get and keep customers.  Such a review could be narrow and deep, or wide and shallow depending on what we uncover early on. The result will help you identify the lowest hanging fruit and offer clear direction on how to harvest it at the least cost.

Focal Sales and Marketing Consultation Reports and Services.  All reports are always custom tailored to specific needs of each individual business and they often include a comprehensive look at the effectiveness of specific revenue generating activity with recommendations for improvement.  Here are some examples of specific deliverables:

  • Meeting Facilitation for: Brainstorming, Strategic Planning, Weekly Sales Meetings, etc;

  • Direct mail program development;

  • Business plan review and/or development;

  • Marketing plan review and/or development;

  • Market research reports and prospect lists;

  • PR campaign development;

  • Corporate Identity & Positioning exercise;

  • Internet Marketing Audit;

  • New ways to build and foster a team of self-leaders;

  • Improved contact management tools;

  • New ways integrate sales and marketing functions into every aspect of business operations;

  • Recruiting sales personnel;

  • Sales plan for a new product, service, or special offer;

  • New ways for meeting price pressure from increasingly cost conscious shoppers;

  • Training in telemarketing methods, scripts, systems and procedures for increased sales.

What does it cost?
To make your investment in consulting services, you may choose a fixed price offer or engage me on an hourly basis for which I bill $150 per hour.  My overnight travel and day rate is $1,500, plus expenses.

I realize that consulting services are sometimes difficult to purchase because of the degree of customization involved.  To make the decision process easier for you, I offer all of the services described above on a fixed price, cost beneficial basis, once we have completed our initial, intake interview process.

To arrange for a free, intake interview, please call me at 413-244-2294.
